A portable fire extinguisher containing AVD (Aqueous Vermiculite Dispersion) agent, designed to address thermal runaway in lithium battery fires. Suitable for Li-ion, Li-poly, electrical, and class A fires. Environmentally responsible with no GWP (Global Warming Potential) and non-toxic to people, animals, and plants.
Lithium battery fires are dangerous due to “thermal runaway” caused by cell failure from damage, defect, short circuit, overcharging, or overheating. Thermal runaway leads to rapid chain reactions, escalating fire intensity and duration.
LiCELL™ extinguishers with AVD encapsulate the fire source with a non-flammable oxygen barrier, providing a cooling effect to counter thermal runaway. This is critical for protecting lives and assets on our oceans and waterways.
